Day 1: Tuesday, March 4, 2025: Departure
We will depart on our international overnight flight to Cairo, Egypt. (IF)

Day 2: Wednesday, March 5, 2025: Arrival in Cairo
On arrival in Cairo Airport, we will meet our tour director and transfer to our hotel. We’ll enjoy a group meal and relaxation as we prepare to walk in the footsteps of Moses and the Patriarchs. (D)

Day 3: Thursday, March 6, 2025: Cairo
Cairo has a rich history and today we will visit the Pyramids, which are one of Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.  Cheops is the largest of three pyramids in the Giza Necropolis. The Great Sphinx was carved from a single rock. We will explore more of Egypt’s history in the Egyptian Museum, location of Tutankhamen’s treasures. We will also visit the Hanging Church, which was built in the 3^rd or 4^th century and is the largest Coptic church.  We will dine in our hotel this evening. (B/L/D)

Day 4: Friday, March 7, 2025: Marah, Mount Sinai
We will depart from Cairo this morning to make our way through the Sinai Peninsula and the Biblical land of Goshen following in the footsteps of Moses and the Israelites. Along the way we will stop at Marah, where the water was bitter. We will continue to Alim and the Oasis of Feiranm the site of the Battle with Amalek. Mt. Sinai. We will overnight near St. Catherine’s Monastery, close to Mount Horeb and Mount Sinai. (B/L/D)

Day 5: Saturday, March 8, 2025: St. Catherine’s Monastery, Aqaba, Petra
This morning we will wake up very early to go to Mount Sinai, where Moses received the Ten Commandments. Camels are available, as well as hot drinks and snacks.  Having seen the sun rise over the mountains, we will come back down the mountain for breakfast and a visit to St. Catherine’s Monastery, built on the site believed to be where Moses saw the Burning Bush. It’s the oldest continuously inhabited monastery in the world. We will then travel up the coastline of the Gulf of Aqaba, where we can see Israel, Jordan and Egypt from the Red Sea. This was Biblical Ezion Geber, Solomon’s seaport. We will cross the border and travel up to Petra. (B/L/D)

Day 6: Sunday, March 9, 2025: Petra, Dead Sea
Today we will explore the jewel of the Nabataean Kingdom, Petra. Our guide will escort us on a walking tour through the Siq, a narrow canyon that is the main entrance to the city. At the end of the passage is Petra’s most beautiful monument, the Treasury, carved out of the solid rock from the side of the mountain. After our tour, we will have tea with Bedouins, then travel up to our luxury resort hotel, where we will have a chance to float in the Dead Sea. (B/D)

Day 7: Monday, March 10, 2025: Mount Nebo, Madaba, Tel Aviv
We will stop on Mount Nebo, believed to be the burial place of Moses. We will enjoy the panoramic view of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan River, and see the Memorial Church of Moses on top of the mountain with its well-preserved mosaics dating back to the Byzantine era. We will also visit Madaba to see the historic mosaic map of the Holy Land, which dates back to the 6^th century. Before crossing over into Israel, we will visit the Baptism site of Bethany-Beyond-The-Jordan, said to be the site of Jesus’ baptism. We will end the day in Tel Aviv, where we will meet up with the travelers joining us for the Israel part of the trip. (B/D)

Day 8: Tuesday, March 11, 2025: Caesarea Maritima, Mount Carmel, Nazareth
After our first Israeli breakfast, we will board our coach and drive north up the coast to Caesarea Maritima, built by King Herod the Great in 22 B.C. It was here that Pontius Pilate lived and where the Gospel was first brought to the Gentiles. While here, we will visit the Roman Theater, the Roman Aqueduct, and the Herodian Port. We will drive by Mount Carmel where Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal and stop at Mount Precipice where the Nazarenes wanted to throw Jesus off the cliff (Lk. 4:16-30). In Nazareth, we will visit the Church of the Annunciation, see Mary’s Well and walk through Nazareth Village. (B/D)

Day 9: Wednesday, March 12, 2025: Caesarea Philippi, Magdala, Capernaum, Tabgha
This morning we will drive to Caesarea Philippi (Banias), one of the sources of the Jordan River. It was here that Jesus asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” and began to explain to them that he must go to Jerusalem (Mt. 16:13-23) and be crucified. We will visit Herod Agrippa’s Palace, then continue on to the Nimrod Fortress. We will drive around the Sea of Galilee, passing by Magdala, home of Mary Magdalene. We will enter the 2,000-year-old remains of Capernaum (Lk. 4:31-37) and stand in what is left of the synagogue in which our Lord ministered. We will also see Peter’s house. We will visit Tabgha, commemorating the feeding of the 5,000 (Lk. 9); Mensa Christi, where the Lord appeared to the disciples after the resurrection (Jn. 21); and the Church of Peter’s Primacy. We will stop at the Mount of the Beatitudes, where Jesus gave the Sermon on the Mount. (B/D)

Day 10: Thursday, March 13, 2025: Yardenit, Jerusalem
We will start our day with a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee and stop to see the 2000-year-old Jesus boat. We will visit Yardenit, the famous baptismal site at the headwaters of the Jordan River and touch the water. Then we will travel south to the top of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem where we will enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the Old City and the Kidron Valley. From here it is a short walk down along the Palm Sunday Way to the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus prayed while the disciples slept. We will stop at Dominus Flevit, the Tear Drop Church, which commemorates Jesus’ tears as he looked over Jerusalem. (B/D)

Day 11: Friday, March 14, 2025: Jerusalem
Our morning will begin at the Western (Wailing) Wall, Judaism’s most holy site, and the Western Wall tunnels. We will then drive to Mt. Zion, where we will sing praises in the Upper Room (Lk. 22:7-38), view the traditional tomb of King David, and proceed to the Church of St. Peter Gallicantu and Caiaphas, the High Priest’s house (Jn. 18). Here we will walk through some of the ancient rooms. A walk is also planned through the colorful Arab Bazaar where the sounds and smells of the Middle East will come alive.   In the Israel Museum, we will see the Temple Model and the Shrine of the Book. This evening will include an unforgettable Shabbat dinner. (B/D)

Day 12: Saturday, March 15, 2025: Masada, Qumran, En Gedi, Jerusalem
After breakfast we will take an excursion south of Jerusalem to key Jewish heritage sites. Our first stop will be Masada, the famous stronghold where the Jewish people held out while under attack from the Roman Army. We will rise to the top by cable car and see remnants of the city on the top. We will have a brief stop at Qumran to view Cave # 4, which contained the greatest quantity of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Then we will continue to En Gedi and relive one of David’s historic encounters with King Saul and relate the topography and David’s life to the Psalms. (B/D)

Day 13: Sunday, March 16, 2025: Jerusalem
Today will include a visit to the South Steps where the Rabbis taught, as well as the Pools of Siloam, Hezekiah’s Tunnel, Warren’s Shaft, and David’s Palace. Entering the Old City through the Lion’s Gate, we will walk along parts of the Via Dolorosa past Zion Monastery. We will continue to Ecce Homo (site of Jesus’ scourging) and see an authentic Roman pavement at the Antonia Fortification. Following visits to Saint Anne’s Church, the Pool of Bethesda, we will continue our walk to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. (B/D)

Day 14: Monday, March 17, 2025: Bethlehem, Jerusalem
We will begin our day with a tour of Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus. We will visit the Shepherd’s Fields and the Church of the Nativity, before returning to Jerusalem. On our way back, we will stop at Herodium where we will view the tomb of Herod the Great, as well as Calvary and the Garden Tomb. This evening will include a very special communion service and a closing session. We will enjoy our farewell dinner in a restaurant. (B/D)

Day 15: Tuesday, March 18, 2025: Return

Arrival and Departure Transfers

Transfers are automatically included if we have booked your flights.

If you have booked your own flights, we can still provide transfers, as long as we have your flight details on file and a phone number to give to the driver. We will include your transfer information in your final packet. Transfers will be arranged for each arrival, so that you won’t have to wait for other tour members if their flight is delayed. Transfers can be arranged for the day of your choosing, but we can’t arrange transfers if you arrive or depart by train.

Please note that individual transfers are booked through a third-party and you will be responsible to communicate with the company in case of delays.

Price is based on a minimum of 15 full-paying travelers for Egypt and Jordan and 20 full-paying travelers in Israel.

•   Final payment is due by January 13, 2025
•   Reservations will be accepted after January 13, 2025, subject to availability

Insurance

There are two levels of insurance offered. Click here to compare. When you fill out the registration form, you will be given quotes for both.

Standard is 4.55% of the trip cost and can be purchased up until 2 days prior to departure, although we recommend purchasing it before.

Enhanced is 7.6% of the trip cost and includes cancel for any reason benefits. It has to be purchased within 14 days of registration.

Cancellations

Regardless of reason, cancellations are costly, so we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance:

From time of deposit to until 100 days before departure (if not canceled by us): $100
From 99-15 days prior to departure: $350 cancellation penalty plus any non refundable deposits
14 days or less prior to departure: No refund– Cancellation charges also apply to additional accommodation reserved prior to and after the tour.
– Cancellations must be received in writing by 5:00 p.m. central time on the last business day of the applicable time period.
– For flight changes or cancellations, revision fees and/or airline cancellation charges will apply.
– Roommates canceling can result in a single supplement charge for the roommate. The Participant who cancels will be responsible for that charge if a substitute roommate cannot be found.
– Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance is strongly recommended.
Reformation Tours cannot assume responsibility for any additional costs or fees relating to the issuance and/or cancellation of air tickets or other arrangements not made through Reformation Tours.
