Day 2: Wednesday, March 3, 2027: Arrival in Cairo and Welcome
As you arrive in Cairo, the bustling capital of Egypt, you’ll be greeted by your tour director, who will assist with transfers and orientation. Cairo, known as the “Gateway to the Holy Land,” introduces you to a land rich in history and biblical significance. This is where the Israelites lived during their time of bondage, and later, where the Holy Family sought refuge. After settling into your hotel, enjoy a group dinner and take time to reflect on the journey ahead. (D)

Day 3: Thursday, March 4, 2027: Pyramids, Sphinx, and the Hanging Church
Cairo is a city of contrasts, where ancient wonders exist alongside vibrant modern life. Your day begins with a visit to the Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Marvel at the grandeur of the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the largest of the three pyramids, and gaze upon the enigmatic Great Sphinx, carved from a single block of limestone. Next, explore the Egyptian Museum, home to Tutankhamen’s treasures and thousands of other artifacts that reveal the depth of Egypt’s history. Finally, visit the Hanging Church, an important Coptic Christian site that dates back to the 3rd or 4th century. This church, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, is a powerful testament to the endurance of faith in Egypt. (B/D)

Day 4: Friday, March 5, 2027: Journey through the Sinai Peninsula
Departing Cairo, you’ll journey through the Sinai Peninsula, retracing the Israelites’ steps during their Exodus from Egypt. Your first stop is at Marah, where the waters were bitter, but God made them drinkable (Exodus 15). Travel on to Elim, a place of rest with its twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and then the Oasis of Feiran, the site of the Battle with Amalek. As you approach Mount Sinai, reflect on the Israelites’ journey through the wilderness and God’s provision in times of hardship. Tonight, you’ll stay near St. Catherine’s Monastery, close to the base of Mount Sinai, where Moses encountered God.  (B/D)

Day 5: Saturday, March 6, 2027: Mount Sinai and Journey to Petra
Start the day with an early morning ascent of Mount Sinai, where Moses received the Ten Commandments. Witness the breathtaking sunrise over this sacred mountain and reflect on its spiritual significance. After descending, visit St. Catherine’s Monastery, one of the oldest continuously inhabited monasteries in the world, built on the site of the Burning Bush. Travel along the Gulf of Aqaba, a route filled with stunning landscapes and biblical significance. After crossing the border into Jordan, continue to Petra, the rose-red city carved into rock. Day 6: Sunday, March 7, 2027: Explore Petra and Relax at the Dead Sea
Begin the day exploring Petra, the jewel of the Nabataean Kingdom and one of the most awe-inspiring archaeological sites in the world. Walk through the Siq, a narrow canyon that serves as the main entrance to the city, and marvel at the iconic Treasury, a breathtaking monument carved into rose-red rock. Learn about the Nabataean civilization and their ingenious water systems that sustained life in this desert city. After your tour of Petra, travel to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth. Known for its healing properties and mineral-rich waters, the Dead Sea offers a unique experience—you can effortlessly float on its surface. Day 7: Monday, March 8, 2027: From Mount Nebo to Israel
Start the day at Mount Nebo, the site where Moses viewed the Promised Land before his death. Enjoy views of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan River, and visit the Memorial Church of Moses, which features preserved Byzantine mosaics. Reflect on Moses’ leadership as you stand where he looked upon the land he would not enter.Continue to Madaba, home of the famous 6th-century Mosaic Map of the Holy Land, a remarkable artifact that provides insight into how ancient pilgrims visualized the region.Visit Bethany-Beyond-the-Jordan, the traditional site of Jesus’ baptism by John the Baptist, and reflect on the significance of baptism as a symbol of repentance and new life. After crossing the border into Israel, stop in Jericho, the oldest city in the world. Take a cable car ride to the Mountain of Temptation, where Jesus was tempted by Satan during His 40 days in the wilderness. Day 8: Tuesday, March 9, 2027: Exploring Northern Israel
Begin the day by traveling to Caesarea Maritima, the Roman port city built by Herod the Great on the Mediterranean coast. Explore its incredible Herodian Port, Roman Theater, and Aqueduct, and learn about its role in biblical history as the home of Cornelius, the first Gentile convert to Christianity (Acts 10). Reflect on the spread of the Gospel from this diverse and cosmopolitan city. Next, travel to Mount Carmel, where Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal in a dramatic display of God’s power (1 Kings 18). From the top of the mountain, enjoy stunning views of the Jezreel Valley and meditate on the story of God’s victory over false gods. Conclude the day in Nazareth, Jesus’ boyhood home. Visit the Church of the Annunciation, commemorating the angel Gabriel’s announcement to Mary, and stop at Mary’s Well, a traditional site associated with Jesus’ early life. Day 9: Wednesday, March 10, 2027: Jesus’ Ministry in Galilee
Begin the day at Caesarea Philippi, located at the foot of Mount Hermon. This ancient Roman city is where Peter declared Jesus as the Messiah, and Jesus revealed His mission to go to Jerusalem and suffer (Matthew 16:13-20). Reflect on the significance of Peter’s confession and Jesus’ teaching about His coming sacrifice. Next, visit Magdala, the hometown of Mary Magdalene, and explore its first-century synagogue, where Jesus likely taught. Continue to Capernaum, known as “Jesus’ hometown” during His ministry. Walk through the remains of the ancient synagogue where Jesus taught and performed miracles (Luke 4:31-37). Visit the site believed to be Peter’s house, where Jesus healed Peter’s mother-in-law and others (Mark 1:29-34). Stop at Tabgha, the traditional site of the feeding of the 5,000, and visit the Church of the Multiplication, featuring its famous mosaic of loaves and fishes. Day 10: Thursday, March 11, 2027: From Galilee to Jerusalem
Begin the day with a peaceful boat ride across the Sea of Galilee, reflecting on Jesus calming the storm and walking on water. Visit the Jesus Boat Museum to see a first-century fishing boat, similar to the one used by Jesus and His disciples. Stop at Yardenit, the baptismal site on the Jordan River, where you’ll have the opportunity to reflect on Jesus’ baptism by John the Baptist. In the afternoon, travel to Jerusalem, the city that lies at the heart of Jesus’ life and ministry. Begin your Jerusalem experience with a breathtaking panoramic view from the Mount of Olives, overlooking the Old City and the Temple Mount. Walk down the Palm Sunday Way, stopping at the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus prayed before His arrest. Reflect on the depth of Jesus’ love and obedience in the face of suffering. (B/D)

Day 11: Friday, March 12, 2027: Judean Desert – Masada, Qumran, and En Gedi
The day begins with a visit to Masada, the ancient hilltop fortress built by King Herod. Ascend by cable car to explore the ruins, including Herod’s palace and the remains of a synagogue. Reflect on the heroic last stand of the Jewish Zealots against the Roman army in 73 AD.Next, visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in 1947. Learn about the Essenes, a Jewish sect that lived in isolation and contributed to the preservation of biblical texts. Finally, travel to En Gedi, a lush oasis in the desert. This is where David hid from King Saul and demonstrated his mercy by sparing Saul’s life. Hike to the waterfalls and reflect on the Psalms David wrote during his time here, praising God’s provision and protection. (B/D)

Day 12: Saturday, March 13, 2027: Exploring Jerusalem’s Biblical and Historical Sites
Start the day at the Western Wall, Judaism’s most sacred site for prayer, and explore the Western Wall Tunnels, which extend beneath the city to reveal the ancient foundations of the Temple Mount. Head to Mount Zion, where you’ll visit the Upper Room, the traditional site of the Last Supper, and the Tomb of King David. Stop at the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, which marks the site of Caiaphas’ house, where Jesus was held after His arrest. In the afternoon, walk the Via Dolorosa, following the path Jesus took to His crucifixion. Day 13: Sunday, March 14, 2027: Jerusalem – Exploring the Old City and Beyond
Today, we’ll explore some of the most significant sites in Jerusalem, central to Jesus’ ministry and the history of the Jewish people. Begin the day at the South Steps, the location where rabbis taught, and pilgrims ascended to the Temple. Reflect on how Jesus Himself would have walked these steps as He entered the Temple (Luke 2:46-47). Next, visit the Pools of Siloam, where Jesus healed a blind man (John 9:1-11), and explore Hezekiah’s Tunnel, an ancient water channel carved during King Hezekiah’s reign (2 Kings 20:20). Nearby, we’ll see Warren’s Shaft, a significant part of Jerusalem’s ancient water system, and David’s Palace, thought to be the royal residence of King David. Entering the Old City through the Lion’s Gate, we’ll walk along parts of the Via Dolorosa, retracing Jesus’ steps to His crucifixion. Along the way, stop at Ecce Homo, traditionally believed to be the site where Jesus was scourged and mocked. See the authentic Roman pavement of the Antonia Fortress, where Pontius Pilate presided over Jesus’ trial. We’ll also visit Saint Anne’s Church and the Pool of Bethesda, where another of Jesus’ miraculous healings occurred (John 5:1-15). Conclude the day with a visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the traditional site of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection.The day will end with an unforgettable Shabbat dinner, hosted by a local family, providing a unique opportunity to experience Jewish traditions and hospitality. Day 14: Monday, March 15, 2027: Bethlehem and the Garden Tomb
Begin the day in Bethlehem, the city of David and the birthplace of Jesus. Visit the Church of the Nativity, one of the oldest churches in the world, built over the grotto traditionally believed to be where Jesus was born. Stop at the Shepherd’s Fields, where angels announced the birth of Christ to humble shepherds (Luke 2:8-20). On the way back to Jerusalem, we’ll stop at Herodium, an impressive fortress and palace built by King Herod the Great, where his tomb was discovered. Learn about Herod’s role in the Nativity story and his reign as king during Jesus’ birth (Matthew 2:1-18).In the afternoon, visit Calvary and the Garden Tomb, a peaceful alternative site believed by many to be the location of Jesus’ crucifixion, burial, and resurrection. Reflect on the significance of His sacrifice and triumph over death, and participate in a special communion service at the Garden Tomb. End the day with a farewell dinner at a local restaurant, celebrating the transformative journey you’ve experienced. (B/D)

Day 15: Tuesday, March 16, 2027: Return
After two weeks of walking in the footsteps of Moses, the Patriarchs, and Jesus Christ, it’s time to say goodbye to the Land of the Holy One. If you have booked your own flights, we can still provide transfers, as long as we have your flight details on file and a phone number to give to the driver. We will include your transfer information in your final packet. Transfers will be arranged for each arrival, so that you won’t have to wait for other tour members if their flight is delayed. Transfers can be arranged for the day of your choosing, but we can’t arrange transfers if you arrive or depart by train.
