Day 1: Friday, August 27, 2027: Departure
We will depart from the USA today on our international flights to Edinburgh, Scotland. Pre-tour nights are available on request. (IF)

Day 2: Saturday, August 28, 2027: Arrival in Edinburgh
On arrival in Edinburgh, we will meet our tour director and board our air-conditioned bus for the transfer to the hotel. The afternoon is at leisure, with the option to visit Holyrood Palace, climb Arthur’s Seat, or explore the Royal Mile. We will dine in our hotel this evening. (B/D)

Day 3: Sunday, August 29, 2027: Edinburgh
This morning we will attend the morning service in a Baptist church. Our afternoon tour of Edinburgh will begin at the top of the Royal Mile, with a visit to Edinburgh Castle. Our tour of this imposing castle will include tiny St. Margaret’s Chapel, Edinburgh’s oldest building, which dates back to the 1100s. We will also tour John Knox’s home, St. Giles, Cathedral, and Greyfriar’s Kirk graveyard. We will dine in a restaurant this evening. (B/D)

Day 4: Monday, August 30, 2027: St. Andrews, Edinburgh
St. Andrews has been a spiritual center in Scotland for centuries. During the Reformation, St. Andrews University was third in significance after Oxford and Cambridge. In the now ruined castle, we will see the Bottle Dungeon where George Wishart was imprisoned before being burned at the stake, and pause at his martyrdom site, also remembering fellow martyr Patrick Hamilton. St. Andrews Cathedral was once the largest church in Scotland but fell into ruin after John Knox’s sermon, inspired by Wishart’s martyrdom. The tour will end with Holy Trinity, a 12th-century church which has been Presbyterian since 1689. We will return to Edinburgh, and the rest of the day is at leisure. (B)

Day 5: Tuesday, August 31, 2027: York
We will travel south to York, which was founded by the Romans in AD71. It’s known for its stunning medieval architecture, including York Minster, one of Europe’s largest Gothic cathedrals. Our walking tour of York will include the Medieval “Shambles”, and a walk on the ancient city walls. The afternoon will be at leisure, with the option of attending Evensong in the Minster, which has an impressive collection of medieval stained glass, including a sixteenth-century rose window. We will dine together this evening and enjoy an after-dinner walk to see the Minster by night. (B/D)

Day 6: Wednesday, September 1, 2027: Bedford, Oxford
We will drive south today, stopping in Bedford and Elstow, to learn more about John Bunyan, the author of Pilgrim’s Progress, the Christian allegory considered the most widespread book of all time, second only to the Bible. Originally a poor, barely literate Tinker (mended pots and pans), he became a popular preacher and author. Pilgrim’s Progress was written while he was imprisoned for 12 years for preaching without a license from the Church of England. Before we arrive in Oxford, we will view C. S. Lewis’ home, The Kilns, where he lived with his brother. We will also visit Holy Trinity Church nearby, where the Lewis brothers worshipped for over 30 years. Inside the church, designed by the celebrated architect Sir George Gilbert Scott, we will see the Narnia Window. We will dine in Oxford, where we will stay for two nights. (B/D)

Day 7: Thursday, September 2, 2027: Cotswolds, Oxford
Oxford is one of England’s famous university cities, with a rich history of reform. The early English reformer John Wycliffe was a professor at the university, and so was the famous Christian writer C.S. Lewis. Other well-known students included Bible translator William Tyndale and the great revivalist preacher George Whitefield, who was part of the “Holy Club” with Charles and John Wesley. In the afternoon, we can take a Downton Abbey-themed tour of the Cotswolds, visit Blenheim Palace, or spend more time in Oxford. The evening is at leisure. (B)

Day 8: Friday, September 3, 2027: London
We will begin our time in London with a bus orientation tour, including the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace. We will then tour the Tower of London, followed by a cruise on the Thames to Westminster Abbey, where most British kings and queens have been crowned since 1066. It’s the final resting place for many monarchs, heroes, authors, and poets. This is also where 151 theologians met in the 1640s to draft the Westminster Confession of Faith, the standard of doctrine for the Church of Scotland and many Presbyterian churches worldwide. We will check into our hotel and dine together this evening. (B/D)

Day 9: Saturday, September 4, 2027: London
We will start the day at the British Museum, where our guided tour will include many Biblical artefacts. In the afternoon, we will visit John Wesley’s Chapel and the Museum of Methodism, followed by a tour of his home. John Wesley (1703-1791) has been called the most influential Protestant leader of the English-speaking world since the Reformation, and his brother Charles wrote hundreds of amazing hymns. We will tour the legendary Bunhill Field’s Cemetery, where we can see the burial place of nonconformist Protestants. This evening, we can explore London independently, and tickets for dinner and a show can be arranged (additional cost). (B)

Day 10: Sunday, September 5, 2027: London
We will join the morning service at the Metropolitan Tabernacle, where Spurgeon preached to thousands. After a group lunch, the rest of the day is at leisure. (B/L)

Day 11: Monday, September 6, 2027: Ireland or home
We will have a group transfer to Heathrow for our return to the USA. Additional days in London or Europe can be arranged. (B/IF)

POST TOUR

Post-tour Day 1: Monday, September 6, 2027: Belfast
We will fly from Heathrow to Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland. Our bus tour will include historic sites, including located associated with C.S. Lewis. In the afternoon, there’s an optional tour of Titanic Belfast. This award-winning museum details the construction and journey of the ill-fated voyage. We will dine in our hotel this evening. (B/D)

Post-tour Day 2: Tuesday, September 7, 2027: Antrim, Omagh, Belfast
We will drive up the Antrim Coast to visit Giant’s Causeway, a unique geological site that attracts over a million visitors each year. The Ulster American Folk Park, near Omagh, is an award-winning open-air history center, where costumed actors and period buildings tell the story of Irish emigration. We will return to Belfast and dine in a traditional restaurant. (B/D)

Post-tour Day 3: Wednesday, September 8, 2027: Belfast, Downpatrick, Dublin
Downpatrick is the heart of Saint Patrick’s story, and we will begin our visit at the Saint Patrick Centre, where interactive exhibits tell the true history of Ireland’s patron saint. It has an excellent cafe and gift shop. We’ll then visit Down Cathedral and Saint Patrick’s Grave, where we’ll learn about his impact on Irish Christianity and history. We will end the day in Dublin. The evening is at leisure. (B)

Post-tour Day 4: Thursday, September 9, 2027: Dublin
The Epic Museum gives a wonderful overview of Irish history. Our guided walking tour will include Trinity College and the Book of Kells. We will also see St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the Chester Beatty Library, and the 18th-century Georgian houses. Tonight, we will have a special farewell meal, with Irish music. (B/D)

Post-tour Day 5: Friday, September 10, 2027: Departure
After breakfast, we will transfer to Dublin Airport for our international flight home. As you leave, take with you the inspiration of C.S. Lewis’s imagination and Saint Patrick’s enduring legacy. (B/IF)

Arrival and Departure Transfers

Once the tour is a guaranteed departure our air team can assist you with booking flights and transfers. If you have booked your own flights, we can still provide transfers, as long as we have your flight details on file and a phone number to give to the driver. We will include your transfer information in your final packet. Transfers will be arranged for each arrival, so that you won’t have to wait for other tour members if their flight is delayed. Transfers can be arranged for the day of your choosing, but we can’t arrange transfers if you arrive or depart by train.

Please note that individual transfers are booked through a third-party and you will be responsible to communicate with the company in case of delays.

The land price of this tour is $4,699 based on a minimum of 25 travelers. The Ireland post-tour is $1,999 based on a minimum of 20 travelers. These rates are subject to change if there is a significant fluctuation in the exchange rate.

•   Items of a personal nature, such as passports and visas. Passports must be valid for 6 months beyond the return date.

•   The deposit of $350 per person is due at the time of booking through the registration system. As you register you will be given the option to pay by ACH (direct from your bank) or by credit card (3.5% fee). •   Final payment is due by May 29, 2027
•   Reservations will be accepted after May 29, 2027, subject to availability

Insurance

You will have the option to add insurance as part of the booking process. Travel International’s Pathway Premier policy is 4-7% of the tour cost, depending on traveler age, trip length, and coverage selected. Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) is an additional cost and must be purchased within 21 days of the initial deposit.
