Dr. Debbie Mann, Professor of French at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, has enjoyed over forty years of travels to France as a student, exchange instructor, and study abroad leader, as well as numerous family trips. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to share her knowledge and love of France and the French language with the Spring in Paris tour group.
Eboni Buckels, Coordinator of Dual Credit/ Engagement Partnership at St. Louis Community College, has over 10 years of community development and enjoys planning and coordinating opportunities for diverse learning and community engagement. She is honored to participate in the event planning of Springtime in Paris, which allows travelers to engulf in the personal, enriching experience of what Paris offers!

Day 1: Sunday, June 13, 2021: Departure
We will depart from St. Louis on our overnight flights to Paris, France. (IF)
Day 2: Monday, June 14, 2021: Arrival, Giverny, Paris, Concert
When we land in Paris, we will meet our tour director who will welcome us to France and escort us to our waiting air-conditioned bus. On the way to Paris, we will travel to the delightful village of Giverny, with free time for lunch. In the afternoon, we will tour Monet’s home and gardens in Giverny, where the artist and gardener lived for over 40 years. We will see his colorful home, his studio-sitting room, and his collection of Japanese prints. His extensive gardens include the famous Water Garden, planted with oriental vegetation, waterlilies, and weeping willows. We will continue our journey into Paris and check in to our hotel. We will attend a classical music concert this evening in the spectacular Sainte-Chapelle chapel. (B)
Day 3: Tuesday, June 15, 2021: Cooking Class
Today we will have an in-depth food experience with Le Foodist, a specialist cooking school, to experience the food and culture of France in a fun and delicious way. After coffee and croissants, we will visit the local market to purchase fresh ingredients. The hands-on cooking class will end with a delicious 3-course lunch. The chef will share stories about French culture and wine and we’ll come away with recipes and classically French culinary techniques. The afternoon will be at leisure. (B/L)
Day 4: Wednesday, June 16, 2021: Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Montmartre
No visit to Paris is complete without a tour of the stunning art in the Louvre. Our guide will give us a tour of the highlights of the world’s largest art museum, including seeing the Mona Lisa. The Eiffel Tower was built for the 1889 World Exposition and still attracts close to seven million visitors a year. We will go up to the 2nd floor for magnificent views of the city. We will board the bus and have an orientation tour of Paris, ending in the historic district of Montmartre. We will have free time to explore the area, which includes Sacre-Coeur, many cafes and art studios. We will then board a boat for a round-trip cruise on the Seine to see famous landmarks from the water. (B)
Day 5: Thursday, June 17, 2021: Optional Tours
Today is set aside for us to explore Paris according to our own interests. We will have a variety of options to choose from using our Paris Visite Travel Card for Zones 1-3 which will allow us to travel freely on the Paris public transport system and visit most of the main sights and museums of Paris. In the evening, we will meet for dinner at a local restaurant. (B/D)
Day 6: Friday, June 18, 2021: Versailles
We will travel by bus to the Royal Palace of Versailles, which has origins dating back to the seventeenth century. Our guided tour will include the Hall of Mirrors, the Grand Trianon, and the magnificent gardens. We will return to Paris in the afternoon and the rest of the day will be at leisure. Our farewell meal will be in a traditional Parisian restaurant with live music. (B/D)
Day 7: Saturday, June 19, 2021: Return
We will transfer to Charles de Gaulle Airport for our return flights to St. Louis. (B/IF)

You will stay in the 4-star, centrally-located Hôtel Belloy Saint Germain throughout your stay in Paris. This air-conditioned hotel is located in the historic Saint Germain district (6th arrondissement), near the Luxembourg Gardens, Notre Dame Cathedral, La Sorbonne, etc.

Transfers are automatically included if we have booked your flights.
If you have booked your own flights, we can still provide transfers, as long as we have your flight details on file and a phone number to give to the driver. We will include your transfer information in your final packet. Transfers will be arranged for each arrival, so that you won’t have to wait for other tour members if their flight is delayed. Transfers can be arranged for the day of your choosing, but we can’t arrange transfers if you arrive or depart by train.
Please note that individual transfers are booked through a third-party and you will be responsible to communicate with the company in case of delays.

Option 1: For 10+ traveling together, we can provide a group air booking. Payment is due with final payment in March 2021.
Option 2: You may request a flight quote from us by filling out this form. Payment is due at the time of booking.
Option 3: You may book your own flights, making sure you land on the morning of June 14, 2021 no later than 10:00 AM. If you would prefer to arrive earlier, we can arrange a pre-tour hotel night in Paris. You are welcome to depart at any time on June 19. Please wait until the tour is a guaranteed departure before booking non-refundable airfare, and send us a copy of your flight itinerary for our records as soon as you have booked it.

Regardless of reason, cancellations are costly. To offset these costs the following fees will apply, plus any non-recoverable expenses to our suppliers:
From time of deposit to until 100 days before departure: $100
From 99-15 days prior to departure: $350 plus any non refundable deposits
14 days or less prior to departure: No refund– Cancellation charges also apply to additional accommodation reserved prior to and after the tour.
– Cancellations must be received in writing by 5:00 p.m. central time on the last business day of the applicable time period.
– For flight changes or cancellations, revision fees and/or airline cancellation charges will apply.
– Roommates canceling can result in a single supplement charge for the roommate. The Participant who cancels will be responsible for that charge if a substitute roommate cannot be found.
– Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance is strongly recommended.
