Day 1: Saturday, June 2, 2018: Depart
We will depart St. Louis on overnight flights to London (IF)
Day 2: Sunday, June 3, 2018: St. Albans, Harry Potter, Windsor
On arrival at Heathrow, we will board our bus and drive to the charming town of St. Albans, where we will enjoy an early lunch. We will then visit the Warner Brothers, Harry Potter Studio, for a guided tour. This is where many of the movies were filmed, and we will be able to walk on sets like Diagon Alley, and see famous costumes and props. We will then drive to Windsor and check-in to the 4-star Harte and Garter hotel, just outside the castle gates. We will dine in the hotel’s Tower Brasserie this evening. (IF/L/D)
Day 3: Monday, June 4, 2018: Stonehenge, Stratford-upon-Avon
We will start the day with a delicious traditional British breakfast, then board the bus to drive to Stonehenge, Europe’s most famous prehistoric monument. The tour includes a visit to the museum and the stones. We will then continue on the Stratford-upon-Avon, a medieval market town closely associated with William Shakespeare. Our afternoon tour will include Shakespeare’s birthplace and Holy Trinity Church. Our hotel is in the center of town and has an indoor swimming pool. (B/D)
Day 4: Tuesday, June 5, 2018: Warwick, London
After breakfast we will visit Warwick Castle, which offers fun entertainment for all ages. We can explore the medieval castle, see a demonstration of a giant trebuchet, brave the dungeon, or stroll around the gardens. There are several Madame Tussaud’s exhibits within the castle. One shows a Royal Weekend Party, set in the Victorian High Society of the 1890s. The Kingmaker Experience recreates the sights and smells of 15th Century battle. On the way to London we will tour Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world. It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost a thousand years. Our tour will also include Queen Mary’s Doll House, St. George’s Chapel, and the State Apartments. Tonight’s meal is at the Marquess of Anglesey pub in Covent Garden, or similar. (B/D)
Day 5: Wednesday, June 6, 2018 : London
For the next 3 days we have a London Pass, which gives us free entry into 70+ attractions, as well as skip-the-line entry. The pass comes with a 160 page guidebook too!

We will begin our day with a Beefeater tour of the Tower of London. This historic palace was built by William the Conqueror after his invasion in 1066. Our tour will include the magnificent crown jewels. We will then visit St. Paul’s, a magnificent church designed by Sir Christopher Wren. The energetic members of the group can climb the dome for incredible views of London. We will dine early, then we see Wicked in the West End Theatre district. (B/D)
Day 6: Thursday, June 7, 2018: London
This morning we will visit the Globe, which is a modern replica of the theater originally constructed in 1599 by Shakespeare’s playing company. We will tour the interactive exhibits and the theater (if there’s not a production). We will then have a guided tour of Westminster Abbey, where many of Britain’s kings and queens have been crowned since 1066. It’s also been the setting for many royal weddings, including Queen Elizabeth II. In Poet’s Corner we will see graves of many well-known artists, soldiers, statesmen etc., including Dickens and Shakespeare. In the afternoon we will see London from the top of a hop-on hop-off, which will give us an excellent overview of the city. (B)
Day 7: Friday, June 8, 2018: London
Today we are free to spend however we wish, using our London Pass for free entry. Popular attractions include the Churchill War Rooms, Hampton Court, the Wimbledon Tour Experience, National Theater Backstage Tours, Benjamin Franklin House and the Royal Observatory in Greenwich. Food enthusiasts might enjoy the Secret Food Tour (11 AM – 2 PM). It’s also an ideal day for Afternoon Tea. (B)
Day 8: Saturday, June 9, 2018: London
The British Museum houses many treasures, including the Rosetta Stone, the Elgin Marbles, and the Easter Island Statue. The collection was founded in 1753 and spans over two million years of human history. This afternoon there is an off-road guided bike tour through some of London’s most famous parks, including Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. Bikes, and helmets are provided. Dinner this evening is at Strada at the Royal Festival Hall (or similar), followed by a ride on the London Eye. We will be able to look over London and see the places we’ve visited during our tour. Day 9: Sunday, June 10, 2018: Return
Those returning home will have a transfer back to Heathrow. (B/IF)
TOUR EXTENSION TO ROME ($900)
Day 9: Sunday, June 10, 2018
After breakfast, we will have a bus transfer to Gatwick Airport and check-in for our flight to Italy. On arrival in Rome, our Italian tour director will meet us and escort us our waiting bus. We will begin our time in Rome with a bus orientation tour on the way to our centrally-located hotel. After check-in, we will have a pizza dinner in a local restaurant and take a walk to see Rome at night. (B/D)
Day 10: Monday, June 11, 2018
Today we will explore Ancient Rome with our full-day guide, beginning an inside tour of the Colosseum. We will tour the Forum, and Palatine Hill. In the afternoon we will have a walking tour of Rome, including the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon. The Piazza di Spagna is a great shopping area, very popular with visitors to Rome. The rest of the day is free for shopping, gelato, or more touring. Click here to see what’s available in Rome. (B)
Day 11: Tuesday, June 12, 2018
This morning we visit the Vatican City and St. Peter’s Cathedral, home of the Roman Catholic Church and the largest building in Christianity. Also included is a visit to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, with stunning artwork. The afternoon is at leisure. The Prati neighborhood around the Via Cola di Rienzo, is a popular shopping district. Other choices include the Roman Catacombs, the Borghese Gallery, the National Museum – you could even go to a class to learn how to be a gladiator! In the evening we will meet up for our final dinner. (B/D)
Day 12: Wednesday, June 13, 2018
We have a bus transfer this morning to take us back to Rome Airport for our return flights. (B/IF)

Regardless of reason, cancellations are costly. To offset these costs the following fees will apply, plus any non-recoverable expenses to our suppliers:
From time of deposit to until 100 days before departure: $100
From 99-15 days prior to departure: $350 plus any non refundable deposits
14 days or less prior to departure: No refund– Cancellation charges also apply to additional accommodation reserved prior to and after the tour.
– Cancellations must be received in writing by 5:00 p.m. central time on the last business day of the applicable time period.
– For flight changes or cancellations, revision fees and/or airline cancellation charges will apply.
– Roommates canceling can result in a single supplement charge for the roommate. The Participant who cancels will be responsible for that charge if a substitute roommate cannot be found.
